As an integral part of our Employee Benefits team at Deland, Gibson, the Account Manager will work closely with clients and insurance carriers in the administration of Employee Benefits. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain daily departmental operations pertaining to client insurance benefits
  • Provide clients with coverage analysis, applications, submission preparation, coverages negotiation, proposal preparation
  • Handle policy changes and coverage questions, keeping up to date on rates and forms
  • Maintain high level of communication and build effective relationships with clients
  • Accurately input data into Electronic Benefits Information systems and update the information as needed
  • Ensure accurate billing and work with accounting department on payment of invoices
  • Support the organization’s mission, values and strategic initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Clerical and other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of Employee Benefits experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills for analyzing client data
  • Team player, able to work with all levels of the organization effectively and efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving skills to assist with customer resolutions
  • Strong sense of urgency combined with close attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain and handle confidential materials on a routine basis
  • Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines while multitasking
